For over a decade, I dedicated myself to leading teams, building products, and driving growth in fast-paced environments. At FUEL Online, I had the privilege of shaping strategies, pioneering innovations, and helping businesses adapt to a rapidly changing world. Yet, as rewarding as that chapter was, I began to feel a pull toward something new—a need to redefine my own impact.
Embracing AI and Automation
The world is changing. Businesses are no longer asking if they should embrace AI and automation but how. They’re questioning how to integrate AI into existing workflows, how to balance innovation with cost-efficiency, and how to ensure their teams are prepared for the transition. These challenges are at the heart of modern business transformation. They’re seeking solutions that are not only scalable but also practical and results-driven—solutions that align with their unique needs and aspirations. And I realised I wanted to be at the forefront of that change, not just as a consultant but as a partner who empowers others to thrive in this new era.
Starting Scalemind Consulting wasn’t just a career move—it was a leap of faith. It was my opportunity to step away from the corporate world and embrace the kind of flexibility and creativity (and pressure) that can only come from building something from the ground up. It was a chance to use everything I’ve learnt—from managing complex projects, which always involved efficiency, integration and automation at O2 and BSkyB. It also included launching innovations at FUEL Online—to create solutions that truly matter.
This moment feels right because the landscape is ripe for transformation. Businesses are looking for clarity amid the noise of technology. They’re seeking tailored approaches over one-size-fits-all solutions. For example, a mid-sized company might need AI tools that integrate with legacy systems, while a startup could prioritise cost-effective solutions that scale with growth. And I know, through my experiences, that I can guide them toward not just adopting AI and automation but flourishing with it.
I also wanted to challenge myself to grow beyond my old roles. To move away from overseeing systems to designing them. To step out of established hierarchies and into something more dynamic and client-focused. Most importantly, I wanted to create a space where I could help others move forward with confidence, not fear, in the face of change.
Change isn’t easy—whether it’s for businesses or individuals. But it’s necessary. Scalemind Consulting is about embracing that change, harnessing it, and turning it into opportunity. And for me, this is the time and place to do exactly that.
